The main objective of this English Camp is to build the participants’ English speaking confidence through interactive games, as well as teamwork activities in which they have to compete and achieve goals as a solid group. After the program, the participants are expected to be more engaged and brave in using English as a tool of achieving their goals. English Today also provide English Club which can be held once a week, twice a week or once a month. These classes can be face to face or you can take English Today online.
07:00 – 08:00 | BREAKFAST |
08:00 – 10:00 WARM UP | Human Knot Each group stands, face towards each other in circle, and lift their hand to take another person’s hand standing across the circle. The group must communicate and figure out how to untangle the knot without ever letting go of any hands. Chinese Whisper Marathon In Group, The first person in the line whispers sentence (tongue twister) into the ear of the person standing 1 meter away. The Game Continues. Players whisper the sentence to their neighbors until it reaches the last player in line. The last player writes down the sentences. The group with the most correct sentences wins the game. |
10:00 – 10:15 | BREAK |
10:15 – 12:00 MAIN 1 | Electric Fence In group, each member will get a word they have to remember, the teams must cross over the “fence” without touching it. Members can’t go under the fence and must be touching another member of the group with at least one hand at all times. They then have to arrange the word into a good sentence and raise their hands. The fastest team with correct sentence gets the biggest point. |

13:00 – 15:00 MAIN 2 | The Wizard of Charades Each group gets random pictures (castle, comet, etc), then they need to create scene they can act using those random objects. Each group then acts out their scene and the other groups guess what the scene is about. |
15:00 – 15:30 | BREAK |
15:30 – 17:30 | Guess the Song In Group of 3, each group will be given 3 Indonesian famous songs that must be converted in English. Each group then need to sing the converted songs in front of all the other groups then the other groups can guess. This is one of our English Camp favourites. |

08:00 – 10:00 WARM UP | Human Knot Each group stands, face towards each other in circle, and lift their hand to take another person’s hand standing across the circle. Selfie Scavenger Hunt In this English Camp activity each group is given a paper with the list of challenges they need to do. Words in the Bucket Every team is given (verbally) the same two verbs, a noun, and an adjective. They then need to make a sentence that makes sense with those words. Once the team has written down their sentence, they throw a ball or a small bean bag at the target. The object must stay within the target area. |

10:15 – 12:00 MAIN 1 | Secret Message In group, one member will be designated as the ‘drawer’, this person will sit at a table with pen and blank paper. Each group forms a line, the first person will see the drawing with plenty of details and try to remember it. The first person then must describe the picture to the other member in the line, and pass the description to the drawer. The drawer needs to draw the picture based on the description given. Another fun English camp activity. |

13:00 – 15:00 MAIN 2 | Balloon Sentence Buster The group pops a balloon and retrieves some word slip. They need to do it to all balloons and create sentence from all the word slips. The Demonym Game Each team sends 1 player at a time to the board to write the name of a country and demonym of people from that country. |

15:30 – 17:30 | All Adrift A scenario in which an accident strands the group in a body of water. The traditional brief in All Adrift is that their boat catches on fire and they have to abandon it. They only have a few minutes to grab items. Individuals should write down items they would grab from 1-10 in the order of most important. Then as team, they have to decide and agree on which 10 are the top priorities. |

08:00 – 10:00 WARM UP | Who am I Place a nametag with a name of a famous person on the upper back of each participant. Once everyone has a nametag on their back, explain the rules to everyone: each person must try to figure out which famous person that they are, only asking “Yes” or “No” questions to gain clues about the name that is on their back. For example, a player can ask questions like: “Am I an athlete?” “Am I a female?” “Am I a young person?” and so on. Top 10 Challenges Put participants in a group of 5 and give them 30 minutes to complete 10 challenges. |

10:15 – 12:00 MAIN 1 | Dare or dare! The first group starts by giving a task that should be completed by the second group, the second group challenges the groups and so on until every group have been challenged The Great Balloon Debate Assign one famous person name to each participant and tell them that they are in a hot air balloon with their team members and it is losing height rapidly and will soon crash because it is overweight; therefore they have to get rid of 1 of the passengers! |

13:00 – 15:00 MAIN 2 | Sales Pitch Each group will be given a combination of two silly items and they have to convince the other groups to buy it. 1 minute commercial After the sales pitch, each group will have to perform a 1 minute commercial about the product. |
15:00 – 15:30 | BREAK |
15:30 – 17:30 | Fashion Week Each group chooses two team members as models who will be dressed up using newspapers. The models will walk on a runway and the designers will have to explain about the outfit to the judges. Another English Camp classic. |
17.30 – 18:30 | DINNER |
